Another day, another group of people threatening to boycott a company for supporting gays. Oh, 2012.
Last week, Expedia posted a commercial about a father attending his lesbian daughter’s wedding and finally accepting her sexuality.
The description from the YouTube video says: “Every trip is unique. On this trip, Artie Goldstein travels across the country to attend his daughter’s same-sex wedding, a journey that will test him, challenge him, and ultimately change him in unexpected ways.”

your mom 8 months agoHave these people boycotted eating yet? I keep waiting for them to boycott eating. They should boycott that. GAY PEOPLE PACKAGED/ TOUCHED YOUR FOOD! STOP EATING! I love how someone’s marriage is apparently under their jurisdiction while they still continue to: 1. Eat bacon and pork products
2. Eat shrimp, lobster and other shell fish
3. Wear cotton/poly and other fabric blends.
4. Cut their hair
5. Get tattoos.
6. Work on sunday
7. Go to church while menstruating.
8. Go to the bathroom in a church.
9. Tell their husbands, “No.”
10. Wear gold, eat snails, etc etc I guess it’s only wrong when it doesn’t apply to you. Good thing we did all that to protect ourselves against sharia law. I mean, God forbid society is governed by a set of rules written by any religion… oh wait. -

To deny anyone the ability to commit to their partner like heterosexuals can is wrong and I don’t know how you can live with yourself if you truly feel that way.

Yeah, it’s not OK for people to have their own personal opinions. It must match with the majority opinion of the moment = Relativism is the concept that points of view have no absolute truth or validity, having only relative, subjective value according to differences in perception and consideration.

WhatTheHolyHeck 8 months agoTo ignore the context of the controversy, like you’re attempting to do, is totally self-serving. The current context is that people who have the right to marry - and to receive the 1000+ benefits that come with marriage - still want to deny that right to those who currently can’t. So mire yourself in complaints against “moral relativism” all you want to, but real people’s real rights are at stake here. When a surviving spouse can’t receive military death benefits to help support their children, or a spouse can’t visit a sick partner and make their medical decisions, that’s not some subjective, philosophical difference of opinion. It’s a devastating reality of life. If the marriage of two people you don’t know and will never know won’t affect your own rights, shut the hell up. Defending those with “their own opinions” only perpetuates the ostracizing of and preaching to people who don’t need lectures. FOR FUCK’S SAKE.
