This Reimagining Of "The Shining" With Food Is Frighteningly Good

All work and no play makes Jack hungry?

To celebrate the 35th anniversary of Stanley Kubrick's classic horror film The Shining, photographer Davide Luciano and food stylist Claudia Ficca have created a series of homages made out of food.

"I'm a big Stanley Kubrick fan," Luciano told BuzzFeed Life. "Back in film school, he was the director I most idolized. But in our version of the story, The Overlook Maze is made with peas."

"We imagined that if Jack had a meltdown in a kitchen, he would probably break out a rolling pin and go nuts making cherry pies."

"And little Danny would be spelling out REDRUM in his alphabet soup."

The Grady twins are cupcakes, naturally.

And of course, "in the end Jack's heart is found in an ice block in the pea maze."

    Yes. Good.
