Kylie Jenner DM'd A 20-Year-Old On Instagram And Now He's Her Personal Makeup Artist

So get this: Kylie Jenner actually discovered her now-makeup artist (who's created total swoonworthy looks like this one) on Instagram.

BuzzFeed Life spoke with Ariel Tejada, the 20-year-old makeup artist who works with the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan.

"Kylie DM'd me herself on Instagram and told me, 'Next time you're in town, let's work together,'" says Tejada.

But Tejada was so excited to work with Kylie, he may have ~fibbed~ about his traveling schedule.

"I told her, 'I'll be there in a week, let's do it,'" says Tejada, who was actually telling a lie at the time. "I didn't even have a flight booked or anything."

After getting to L.A. and working his magic, Tejada ended up delivering his best makeup slayage.

"She was obsessed with the makeup," says Tejada. "She said, 'Can I keep you?' And I was like, 'Of course!'"

Tejada says his favorite look to do on Kylie is one that really focuses on her eyes.

"Kylie has beautiful eyes — they're very mesmerizing," says Tejada, who likes playing them up with long lashes and gold hues.

But if you're wondering about whether or not he works on her infamous full lips, turns out that's still Kylie's territory.

"It's a team effort," says Tejada. "I essentially do everything else, but she likes to line her own lips."

In addition to Kylie, Tejada's also done makeup for her sister Kendall Jenner, Lily Ghalichi, and Naya Rivera, among many others.

Tejada says that a big reason he's become so successful is because of Instagram:

"If you're not taking advantage of social media, then you're making a huge mistake."
