Update– 9:36 AM ET
The Oakland Raiders need a new home, and San Antonio is ready to present their case.
The Raiders' lease at O.co Coliseum is up at the end of the 2014 season, and the team has not yet secured a deal to build a new stadium in Oakland. That process is very much complicated by the fact that the Oakland Athletics also share the stadium.
The A's have signed a 10-year deal at the Coliseum while they work out their battles for rights to market space with the San Francisco Giants. If the Raiders do decide to build a new stadium on the land that currently houses O.co Coliseum, the A's would also have to find a new home.
The San Antonio Express-News reports the Raiders have visited the Alamodome and "have deemed [it] as an NFL-ready facility."
The Raiders have conducted a 20-day survey to determine if there is substantial fan interest (that would not conflict with the Cowboys' market).
The Raiders ranked last in fan attendance during the 2013 season, with an average 50,000 attendees. Average stadium capacity was 80%.
