A Newfoundland Man Turned A Video Of A House Robbery Into Something Hilarious

He's as cuddly as a cactus, he's as charming as an eel.

Beware, Whoville St. John's, there's a Grinch on the loose and instead of stealing Christmas, he's stealing summer.

A video shared on Facebook captured an alleged robbery in St. John's on July 22. "The intruders sole purpose was to rid the occupants home of everything summer related," the video says.

He then carefully wipes his fingerprints off the window and doorknob, clearly unaware his face was clearly captured on the security camera.

Not quite down with his crime spree, the man returns at 5:03 a.m. for a stroll around the house before coming back once more at 5:31 a.m., this time with a hood on.

But the best part is Gordon set the video "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" from the original cartoon version of How The Grinch Stole Christmas.

Cst. Steven Curnew of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary told BuzzFeed Canada there is an open investigation into the theft and they have a copy of the video. The video, which has over 18,000 views, has lead to tips on the identity of the man in the video and Curnew said they have a person of interest in the case.
