While it must be incredibly difficult to be a parent of a child with this type of illness and I agree that there should be more help for those with mental illness, we need to make it so people with mental illness and other high risk factors can’t buy guns, criminal record or not. Our national conversation should not be either/or, we need to discuss both gun control and mental illness.

People should start protesting every meeting, death, birth, and marriage of the members of the Westboro Baptist Church. Condemn their happy occasions and celebrate their tragedies.

This is idiotic. People like Amy Odell who only view feminists as women who cannot find any enjoyment in things like cooking, clothes, and fitness are killing feminism. Having one mold of how women should act is misogynistic, and assuming that just because a girl pins a picture of an adorable cupcake she wants to revert to 1950s stereotypes is ignorant. You can be a feminist and still enjoy things that are traditional feminine. By pinning some interesting nail art we aren’t making the statement that women should give up all their aspirations in favor of recreating pretty nail art all day.

I’m pretty sure most 7 year olds are really just starting to read fluidly at that age. I was reading little books like Tag the Dog when I was 6 and but I still consider age 7 to be the year I learned to read. Some children read earlier than others but no one should be getting mad at a little girl for reading at her own, perfectly normal, pace.
