Sup Bro 4 months agoSeems like only the lucky ones don’t get caught, and personally, I’d just assume as much they all do this - check this out:
I’ll probably keep watching the tour. Heck, I watch football baseball and NHL, and I don’t think those guys give blood and urine sampled 60 times a year. I guess I don’t care. That’s probably scary. -

Sup Bro 4 months agoEh, I was trying to put a link in to the wiki article linking to ‘Doping_histories_of_Top-10_finishers’. From a purely unscientific, opinion based, intuitive guess: I would guess cheating goes on very often, and even with that, athletes are only caught infrequently, so given long enough timeline, I think the color coding for the last two years will look a lot like the others going back to the late 90’s. Also, I think the culture plays into it, too - I mean Indurain tested positive for a substance that is banned today. Pantani: Insulin found in his hotel room in the 2001 Giro d’Italia, but later declared clean “for not having committed any infraction.” That wouldn’t cut it for Armstrong (and probably almost all others..). I mean, that’s a huge leap of faith to let some go and whatnot. Also, despite the color coding, nearly all the positive results came outside of the actual race. If I were going to race in the Tour, that would be an encouraging sign to me to dope for this race. Which makes me think that maybe only the lucky ones don’t get caught later on.
