    Over the next two weekends, hundreds of thousands of music lovers will flock to the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California, for the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, but the neon-colored bacchanalia they'll encounter hardly resembles the tranquil place locals call home.

    For most people, when they hear the word “Coachella” they think of a crowded, candy-colored music festival, but that’s only the case for two weekends out of the year.
