Buying fake followers might not be as bad an idea as it sounds…. it actually will get you real followers. A few months ago, a friend bought me a bunch of fake followers as a gag gift. They all got blocked by Twitter after about 2 months, but I noticed that in the 2 month period, I gained far more followers than usual. Having a falsely inflated follower count made people think I must be worth following (I’m not, my tweets are garbage).
