These Galactic Time-Lapse Videos Are Otherworldly

Except it's our world!

In a video entitled "Starry Nights," photographer Jan Hattenbach pieced together footage from the world's biggest observatories, from Chile to Spain.

It feels like laying on your back, watching the world go idly by as the telescopes zip their heads around like giant WALL-Es.

The images were shot by him and Georg Görgen over the course of three years.
