This Pop Star's Prosthetic Limbs Are Unbelievably Cool

Viktoria Modesta is the world's first bionic pop star.

Viktoria Modesta is a performance artist, pop star, DJ, and model — who also happens to be an amputee.

After years of health struggles and 15 operations, Viktoria had her left leg amputated below the knee when she was 20.

Since then, she's collaborated with the Alternative Limb Project on a series of beautiful, cutting edge prosthetics.

Viktoria models many of those prosthetics in her new "Born Risky" video.

Tthe video debuted Sunday night during the finale of the X Factor as a part of Channel 4's "Born Risky" campaign.

"After bouncing off ideas it was clear we had the same views regarding the lack of diversity in the pop industry," Modesta told BuzzFeed Life. She and director Saam Farahmand then came up with the concept for the video — Modesta as a revolutionary hero. "He appreciated me as a character and was inspired by my life, my style, my vision, and my dreams."

The video culminates with Viktoria pirouetting on a bad ass spike prosthetic.

Viktoria's aim with the video? To shake up established notions of what it means to live with a disability.

Modesta hopes the video will help bring to light the lack of diversity in the pop world.

And ultimately she wants "Born Risky" to inspire.
