Last night, in the commercial break immediately before NBC was going to show the tape delayed broadcast of Missy Franklin’s 100m gold medal-winning backstroke, they ran this promo for the Today show.

bighungrysteve 9 months agosrsly guys, from what I’ve heard (having been through some of the #NBCfail comments), the BBC coverage and commentary is better, and can still be watched on a delay if you like on iPlayer. Just download one of those fancy server proxy things. I mean, it is just ludicrous. NBC shouldn’t be given the opportunity to ‘spoil’ sports coverage anyway. Sports is news.

KatieP11 9 months agoThis was INFURIATING! With all the cut aways of her home life and shots of her in her high school, I was so invested in this girl’s race. AND, not to mention all the build up that “SHE ONLY HAD NINE MINUTES TIL HER NEXT RACE! CAN SHE HANDLE IT? WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN?” and then NBC monumentally screws up my life by giving away that she won. I turned off the TV.
