I don’t think he said something about black people in general. It’s clearly a stupid way to do this…but it’s basically just an old man griping about rap music. He should have just cut to the chase and typed, “TURN THAT CRAP DOWN!” I wonder what awesome music I’ll hate when I’m an old crotchety man.
The way this is coming across to me is that he disapproves of Jay-Z’s lyrics and song themes and feels the organization is sullied by having someone like that at the helm. These are things Jay-Z says in his music, well except I guess for calling women bitches from here forward, which he announced he wouldn’t say anymore when his daughter was born. It looks to me like this writer is dripping with sarcasm and contempt for that sort of content and this is his way of taking a shot at it and at Jay-Z. As the reactions show, that was not the smartest way to do it. There could be other motivations, but that’s how I read it.
