Dennis Rodman Reunited With His Father After 42 Years Of Estrangement

I want to make a joke about the "strange" part of "estrangement," but I'm too busy crying like it's the end of Field Of Dreams. Don't mind me.

This photo was taken last night in the Philippines where Dennis Rodman was playing an exhibition game. Philander Rodman Jr, a Vietnam Vet who left Dennis and his mother in the '60s and ran away to the other side of the world, wore a hat that read ""Yes, Dennis Rodman is my son." During a break towards the end of the game, Dennis got on a microphone and revealed that his father was in the stands and that the game marked the first time they had been in the same room in nearly half a century.

Philander Rodman was moved. "He accepted me as his father. That's the first time he ever called me his father."

And it was in that a guy named Philander, who has fathered 29 children by four wives, all while being the owner-operator of Rodman's Rainbow Obamaburger (seriously, that's the name of his restaurant) made me get all emotional and teary-eyed at my job. So now I have to live with that.
