The new sneakers from Adidas and designer Jeremy Scott have caused some controversy lately, because… Well because they have ankle shackles. The shoes, titled Jeremy Scott x adidas Roundhouse Mid “Handcuffs,” were previewed in January, but they didn’t cause much of a stir until this past week when Adidas’ Facebook page released a preview image with the quote “Got a sneaker game so hot you lock your kicks to your ankles?” That post has thousands of shares and comments featuring people arguing whether or not the shoes are racist.
