    1. Help, my eyebrows are out of control!

Solution: In a pinch, hairspray can be used to tame flyaway brows.

    Prevention: Two words: eyebrow wax.

    2. Help, I plucked my eyebrows too thin!

Solution: Use an eyebrow or light eyeliner pencil to fill them in with short hair-like strokes. More strokes is better than darker strokes to look the most natural.

Prevention: Next time, have a shape in mind before you pluck. These stencils are a great way to start.

    3. Help, I smudged my mascara!

Solution: Wait until it’s totally dry and it will come off without smudging more.

Prevention: Sweep some translucent powder around your eyes after applying mascara to prevent further smudges.

    4. Help, I have weird tan lines!

Solution: Use fake tanner to fill in the gaps.

    Prevention: Tan naked.

    5. Help, my nails are yellow!

Solution: A quick paste of baking soda and lemon will get your nails back in shape.

    Prevention: Use a base coat.

    6. Help, I cut my bangs too short!

Solution: Blow dry the strands straight against your forehead. Then use a small amount of product to weigh them down.

Prevention: Next time, have a stylist do it. Or, if you need to touch up at home, point-cut below the eyebrows a small amount at a time.

    7. Help, I used too much hairspray!

Solution: Spray a little water over the crunchy bits to dissolve the hairspray. Then re-dry.

Prevention: Apply hairspray in layers. Hold the can at least 12 inches away, then let it dry in between for the perfect hold.

    8. Help, I used too much product and my hair looks wet and greasy!

Solution: Dry shampoo works just as well on product-based dirty hair. Just sprinkle or spray some on and comb it through to absorb all that extra gel.

Prevention: Apply the smallest amount of product to your hands first, then work it through. Then add ever-so-slightly more as needed.

    9. Help, I used too much blush!

Solution: Just a swipe of powder will do the trick.

Prevention: Put on blush before powder every time then you can adjust accordingly.

    10. Help, I used too much perfume!

Solution: Rub over the area with unscented lotion. This will absorb some of the scent.

Prevention: Spray perfume into the room first, then walk through it. Works every time.

    11. Help, I smudged my manicure!

Solution: Use your tongue to move the smudge back into place.

Prevention: Use a quick dry topcoat.

    12. Help, my eyelashes are clumpy!

Solution: Gently cover your lashes with moisturizer and then comb through with an eyelash comb. If you don't have one, carefully use tweezers or a toothpick to separate lashes.

Prevention: Use clear mascara as a first coat.

    13. Help, I have deodorant on my shirt!

Solution: Use the foam piece from a dry cleaning hanger and rub in circles. Voila! If you don't have one, you can also use pantyhose.

Prevention: Put deodorant on AFTER you put your clothes on.

    14. Help, my foundation is cakey!

Solution: Wet a washcloth or paper towel and press it gently on your face where it’s clumping. Then use your finger to blend it back in.

Prevention: Use a primer under your foundation to keep it smooth all day.

    15. Help, I can't get my glitter nail polish off!

Solution: Use the same trick they use to remove gel polish: Soak a cotton ball in nail polish remover (or pure acetone) and place it over the nail, then wrap the whole fingertip in tin foil to soak for five minutes.

Prevention: Paint a base coat of clear polish and next time it will come right off.

    16. Help, my eyeliner is uneven!

Solution: Put makeup remover (or Vaseline or baby oil) on a Q-tip and use it to clean off only the parts you want to do over.

Prevention: Use the spoon trick to get perfect eyeliner every time.

    17. Help, my eyeshadow keeps creasing in my eyelid!

Solution: Use your finger to rub the crease, then cover with a topcoat of powder.

Prevention: Use a moisturizer before putting it on to keep it in place.
