MusicPromoToday.com Presents Pandora Pushing Through For The Finish!

With all the recent talk of upcoming technology and competition vying for control over the streaming industry the one company that seems to really be focusing on trying to wrestle control from all others is actually Pandora. Though there were rumors a couple of times over the years about them being down and out for the count. As of 2015 Nielson had reported that 75% of the American population use streaming musical services, and keeping that in mind it’s no wonder why CFO of Pandora recently announced that the company will be focusing primarily on on driving business in the US; they’ll be pushing ad spending for the ad supported free music streaming service; up selling ad supported listeners to their paid memberships and seriously cross selling those users with their new asset, Ticketfly which will allow ticket sales to targeted members. The age of digital music distribution is transitioning to tangible sales and back again thanks to this new addition Pandora has introduced! It’s an exciting time for the music industry. As you can see, Pandora’s push for both ad supported services as well as the paid membership demographic in the united states is anything but a desperate grab to stay alive. They’ve definitely done their research and are going with the times. Both the percentages of users have increased dramatically and there doesn’t look like there’ll be any slowing down, at least not for the foreseeable future. Pandora however, is taking their music promotion to a whole new level with Ticketfly as was mentioned earlier. Here’s a quick recap: with Ticketfly geo-targeting audiences based on their location and any upcoming concerts that fall into their music preferences will allow Pandora to sell and promote tickets based on the listener’s music preference and if there are any upcoming concerts for that genre of music coming to their local area. It’s a known fact that music lovers will not hesitate to spend money to see their favorite artists, and now having tickets so readily available to them, if implemented properly, Pandora should soon be on a competing stage with even Spotify. As the world of digital distribution continues to evolve and caters more to users’ spending habits, wants, and needs the global industry for music advertisement is not only keeping up, but it would seem with Pandora that they are even jumping ahead of the progression to reap all the rewards.
