Spike and his nefarious vampire crew cast a spell that turns everyone into their Halloween costumes. Xander becomes a real soldier, Willow becomes an actual ghost, and Buffy turns into a helpless damsel in distress, which makes reversing the spell a lot more difficult.

Every Simpsons Halloween episode is incredible, but "Treehouse of Horror V" takes the top prize, thanks to legendary segments like "The Shinning" (a play on Stephen King's The Shining) and "Time and Punishment," in which Homer is electrocuted by a toaster that causes him to travel back and forth in time again and again. No Halloween special can compare to "Treehouse of Horror V."
