I know people are gonna broken-heart this but I guarantee if the same concept was used for a Lady Gaga video people would be absolutely gagging for it. I don't like Kanye West that much either but this video is average at worst.

Hey music video standards are high now… you gotta be weird n crazy to get viewers attention. As for the song i dont really care for it its ok i guess. I just hate Nicki Minaj like srsly…. her versus make no sense and shes annoying. maybe i'm just bein a hater here but come on, this bitches versus suck and they all have the same flow.

I'm not offended by swearing but does he have to swear every 4-5 words? It's really annoying. And well… Nicki Minaj is in the video as well, ugh.

I actually really like this.
I take this video as a modern, twisted, extreme version of Blacula (tortured and finite). He is calling himself this monster, driven by carnal lust and rage etc. with the whole video shot with women of the damned ( looking more vampire then anything else). I think just because its Kanye West, where people obviously have a strong love or hate him opinion, some are quick to dismiss this whole things as disgusting and vile. If it was an other artist who was leading this (say only Nicki singing the whole song) the backlash wouldn't be nearly as brutal.  Also in comparison to all of the other rap videos that have come out within the past 10 or so years this is one of the few thats shot in such a stylized, artistic way. And even though there swarms of women being tortured you have this equally empowering female force battling her own evil side in a much more physical manner. Actually the video goes hand and hand with this song (which I find really good compared to other rap on the radio)

So apparently people don't know what “context” means anymore. This is completely self-deprecating! He's not just doing gross things because he can, he's calling himself a monster, and while in the song it's a statement of lyrical prowess, in the video it's much darker and much more literal: He's an actual monster, something repulsive. It's seriously obvious to anyone paying any kind of attention to this video.
