It may be worth mentioning that people with seemingly healthy smiles are also at the risk of developing gum disease.     What do the bleeding gums mean?

    Bleeding in the gums is a major symptom of gingivitis which the minor form of gum disease. If this problem is left untreated at this stage, it can convert into severer gum disease, periodontitis, which is not reversible like gingivitis. And if you leave the problem unchecked even at this stage, it can lead to tooth loss. There are several other health issues which can occur as a result of periodontitis. Such problems mainly include diabetes, heart disease and cancer.
