The Burger King Is Dead
The King is dead. Long live the King mom-centric ad campaign. This is a travesty.
So humor and value is out. Family and Whole Foods are in.
Starting Monday, Burger King will introduce the California Burger aka the Whopper with Guacamole. In the commercial, the only sights and sounds will be fresh ingredients being prepared to music. No words, no funny gag. Nothing.
“People want a reason to go back to Burger King,” says Alex Macedo, senior marketing vice president. By spending the next year fixing the food, modernizing stores and updating its image, the No. 2 burger chain will convince folks it’s time to return,” he says. “There are no plans to bring the King back anytime soon.” - USA Today
Let us take a moment to remember the King.

MrSwearword a year agoAfter watching the flame video I thought “apparently, the King was a piece of beefcake.” Side note…Who the hell is telling burger joints guacamole is GOOD on a burger? Like mushrooms, guacamole has NO place on a burger.
