I lived in NYC on $13 an hour, 30 hours a week & here’s what I did: *If you have to eat out for lunch, eat at one of the many $2 pizza places. There are dollar stores everywhere and a lot of them let you barter. *Hester 88 Optical has $20 eye exams and cheap glasses. And they’re really nice. *There is rent to be found in Sheep’s Head Bay/Gravesend, Brooklyn for under $1000. Dont let the names scare you ;). *Use daily deal sites like Groupon and seriously every fun thing in the city eventually comes up for under $20. There was once singing lessons on there for cheapo : ). *Barnes & Nobles in Manhattan has free book signings and Q&A’s with celebrity’s all the time. *Buy your furniture on craigslist *Try and get a job at tourist attraction, you’ll end up getting lots of perks *A lot of museums are free the first Thurs of the month : ) *You can get free posh haircuts/colors as a hair model on salonapprentice.com *I could go on, let me know Buzzfeed : ) I had a super fun time living in NYC on a tiny budget : )
More like “Def Turned Up In College - This is age 19-22 for me. A better Title would be “Class Of 2010ish” cause then these would be your middle school songs ; )
Let’s be honest only 3 of those series are worth the marathon & you know the 3 I”m talking about ; ). Perfectly good deal!
Response to Which ’90s Perfume Are You?:
In the 90s we didn’t say “indie”, we said “alternative”. The only Indy we knew was short for Indiana Jones.
