ASIMO is basically the coolest robot ever, and can run up to 3.7 miles per hour. Created by Honda in 2000, ASIMO (Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility) is a humanoid robot designed to help individuals who lack full mobility. ASIMO may not be a real person, but it is pretty close. We’re not talking about the oversized t-shirts here. Invented by Boston Dynamics in 2005, BigDog is a quadruped robot standing 2.5 feet tall and weighing in at 240 pounds. BigDog was invented to accompany soliders and carry equipment across difficult terrain.

4. Japanese Robot Mouth
Perhaps the strangest robot on the list. This mouth bot from Japan uses an air pump, artificial vocal chords, a resonance tube, a nasal cavity, and a microphone attached to a sound analyzer as substitutes for human vocal organs.

6. Wax Einstein
We’ve all seen several of Madame Tussaurd’s wax sculptures, but I think this one of Albert Einstein might be the most life like.
This blinking, breathing, speaking android is pretty awesome, but also pretty creepy. Actroid-F was build by Japan based robot makers Kokoro. She was created to comfort hospital patients.
He’s even got great hair.
