The AFL has apologised for a "human error" which saw a jersey naming Sam Mitchell the 2015 Brownlow Medal winner go live on the site, while the vote was still ongoing.
Fremantle's Nat Fyfe actually won the award, taking it out with 31 points, ahead of West Coast's Matt Priddis who finished the evening with 28.
The signed guernsey went online in the mid-afternoon, and was quickly mocked by Twitter.
