March 28: Kylie had long black hair.

Five days later, Kylie posted this Instagram of herself with short, black hair, her natural color.

Later that night, she had pastel pink hair, again wearing a hat and covering up roots.

"Hair color is not like a shirt that you can just change it on a daily basis. It's extremely damaging to constantly change your color like this," Miguel Angarita, senior colorist at Mizu New York salon, tells BuzzFeed Life.

The next day, Kylie posted this picture of her black hair in braids with temporary gray hair color.

BuzzFeed Life consulted Jeff Chastain, hairstylist and owner of Jeff Chastain Parlor salon in New York City, about Kylie's hair. Here's what he had to say:

"The pink and blue are definitely wigs. The amount of bleaching to go between colors would break all her hair off. The black, however, is her natural [color]. You can see with the brightly colored hair she is covering the top with hats to hide the hairline, which probably looks pretty artificial if it was shown. With the black hair you can see her little hairline whispies, showing that it is her natural hair," Chastain tells BuzzFeed Life.

The main takeaway: Kylie's hair is crushing it, wig or not.
