Chieftain of the O'Malley clan, beloved by the Irish and bogie woman to the Brits; Grace O’Malley was a fierce pirate Queen from Ireland born in the 16th century.   
After a childhood of longing for the sea, Grace inherited her father's 20 ship fleet after his death and stepped into the role she’d been waiting for. From there she dominated the seas between Ireland and England. She would go on to fiercely protect her land from the Tudor conquest of Ireland and eventually England themselves, causing them to retreat from her front lines, which she covered in castles.   
She wasn't captured until she was 56 but she escaped just before death and lived freely for years, only to return when her brother and son had been captured. 
Grace quickly sent word she wished to speak to the Queen and set sail for England. In the historic 1593 meeting Grace managed to convince Queen Elizabeth 1 to pardon she and her family as well as grant the return of her land and reputation.

Grace O’Malley

Hypatia of Alexandria, a pagan woman who served as librarian to the great Library of Alexandria, where she walked the halls in a philosophers cost giving impromptu speeches about philosophy, paganism, and often woman's rights. 
 She was the earliest known mathematician who perfected the astrolabe and was a master of astronomy as well as philosophy
Described by her most notable student as “a person so renowned, her reputation seemed literally incredible. We have seen and heard for ourselves she who honorably presides over the mysteries of philosophy." Hypatia was an ancient feminist who, once, after a man wouldn’t quit pestering her displayed her bloodied menstrual rag and shouted, “This is what you really love, my young man, but you do not love beauty for its own sake."
She was transformed into a “martyr for philosophy” after she was accused and stoned for practicing witchcraft in March of 415 AD

Hypatia of Alexandria

Agnodice, dressed as a man in order to become the world's first female midwife, in 4th century Greece when women were not allowed to practice medicine and men weren’t practicing on women. With this in mind Agnodice, who had been born into a weather family did not think twice before she disguised herself as the opposite gender and trained under Herophilus. 
After so much success in delivery and because she was so well liked by the patients, Agnodice’s colleagues accused her of seducing the wives.
 She was sent to trial only to be defended by the women she had devoted her life to helping. 
Because of Agnodice, the law against women practicing medicine was overturned.

Queen Nzinga born to a culture that presumed her to be “proud and haughty”because of an umbilical wrapped around her at birth, grew to defend her people for decades against the Portuguese slave trade, after their attention shifted to her home in Angola.  
Instead of giving in to the demands of using her people as payment she implemented a peace treaty between her people and the Portuguese governor of Luanda. It is said that due to the Queen’s self-assurance, the treaty was granted. 
She spent her remaining days helping relocate former slaves and helping the women gain their rights to bear children
