This shoe is from Stuart Weitzman's high-end line called SW1, which is designed by Alvaro Gonzalez, who is generally considered a genius in the world of shoe creation. Gonzalez dreamed up — and actually made — the wedge shoe pictured, which has fashion people sort of losing their shit, Women's Wear Daily implies. Apparently if you were to wear this shoe (price unknown but surely high), the ball of your foot and heel would rest in the shoe while your arch would hang there naked in the breeze. This allegedly makes for "a comfortable fit." Until I experience it for myself I'll assume that's like saying, "Lady Gaga prefers to shop at the Gap."
