1. The Farmiloe Building near Smithfield market was used as Gotham City police headquarters in The Dark Knight Trilogy.

2. The offices of 'Hatchet' Harry in Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels (1998) is actually Blackman’s Shoes on Cheshire Street, off Brick Lane.

3. Vietnam-set scenes for Full Metal Jacket (1987) were filmed at Beckton Gasworks in East London.

4. Senate House Library has doubled as a war office in Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010), the setting of a charity ball in The Dark Knight Rises (2012), and a Moscow restaurant in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014).

5. It was in the Reptile House at London Zoo that Harry Potter discovered he could talk to snakes.

6. The Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich has not only provided a London setting for multiple movies, but has also acted as Paris in Les Misérables (2012), Lilliput in Gulliver's Travels (2010), and Berlin in The Muppets Most Wanted (2014).

12. In Sleepy Hollow (1999) Ichabod Crane and his wife Katrina move into their new New York home (it's actually Somerset House).

13. In The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956) a dead-end lead is chased down Plender Street in Camden.

14. In Naked (1993) Johnny comes across a twitchy Archie in the doorway of Lina Stores in Soho.

16. A rain-soaked Ethan Hunt makes a phonecall in a brightly lit train Liverpool Street Station in Mission: Impossible (1996)

17. In A Hard Day's Night (1964) The Beatles take a notion to leave Liverpool. So they run to their nearest train station "in Liverpool".

18. In An American Werewolf In London (1981) our hero David turns hairy and sets loose on Piccadilly Circus.

19. In Bridget Jones' Diary (2001) Bridget Jones kisses Daniel Cleaver on Shad Thames near Tower Bridge.
