to say it cost $300 is BS and a slap in the face of everyone who works in the VFX/motion graphics industry. Did somebody give him a free camera? Cause a the camera alone would cost more than $300… 3DS Max (3D Software) is listed as $3,463 and thats only one of the many software packages he would have needed to get this done. Oh and you need a pretty nice computer to render everything once you finish all that CG work. Stories like this just cheapen the work.
The short itself isn’t even original… Did everyone forget a movie called “Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow”?
