It is being celebrated as an especially London response to a violent attack. Within a few hours of the stabbing incident at an east London underground station on Saturday night, the hashtag #YouAintNoMuslimBruv began trending on social media.
The hashtag was inspired by an eyewitness to the attack. Video from the scene showed police officers firing a Taser at a suspect then holding him down. In that terrifying moment of high drama, an unseen man with a London accent can be heard shouting the phrase at the suspect.
Reports say the suspect shouted about Syria during the attack, and Scotland Yard said it was investigating it as a "terrorist incident". But people called on the media to focus on the response of bystanders and not the words of the arrested man.
And people were quick to praise the actions of police officers who tased the attacker before subduing him.
Police have yet to release any further details about the attack, but meanwhile Londoners are banding together.
