Here's Your New Favorite Tumblr Sneme

    We've been taken to snurch (snail and/or snake church).

    Sometimes you don't check Tumblr for a day and then when you return a whole new, baffling meme has taken hold.

    At first you just brush it off.

    But soon it becomes undeniable. And so the time has come for us to confront the snakeover.

    "But wait," you ask. "What the fuck is that?"

    Let me explain you a thing. It's best to cue up Hozier's "Take Me To Church" while we do this.

    It's....uh.....well, this?

    I'm pretty confident that Marilyn Manson never said this.

    The sneme (snake and/or snail meme) is all over Tumblr all of a sudden.

    It's taken a strange hold over many a dashboard.

    And it's been making liberal use of previous Tumblr memes as it goes.

    But where did they come from?

    Where did you come from, little creatures? And where will you go?

    They apparently evolved separately, only to eventually conjoin into one masterful sneme.

    The snake side of the sneme family apparently came to us via the Cartoon Network series Steven Universe.
