Nigel Farage Appeared To Decline Shaking Hands With The TV Debate Audience

He also seemed a bit hesitant to shake hands with the other party leaders.

At the end of the BBC debate, all of the party leaders shook hands with each other, with the exception of Nigel Farage, who just drank water behind his stand.

After 10 seconds, Nicola Sturgeon and Ed Miliband then approached Farage and shook his hand.

Here's that moment caught by a photographer, an image that was then shared widely on Twitter.

Shortly afterwards all of the leaders went to the audience, to shake their hands.

The exception being Farage, who went to shake moderator David Dimbleby's hand, and then appeared to walk off the stage without meeting the audience.

The audience and Farage didn't have the best evening, seeing that he got this reaction when he said "the real audience is sitting at home."
