A small airplane trying to land in rainy conditions at a Connecticut airport crashed into two houses Friday, the East Haven Fire Department said.
One of the houses was reported to have been empty, but two children, ages 1 and 13, were believed to be in the second house that was hit by the plane and haven't been found, East Haven Mayor Tom Maturo said Friday.
The pilot of the aircraft believed to be the only one onboard is also not accounted for.
