The former Liberal Democrat leader – and sometime Olympic runner – appeared on Sky News to discuss the unmasking of "Jihadi John" as Mohammed Emwazi.
But the strapline on the screen inadvertently unveiled the MP, a member of parliament's intelligence and security committee, as a secret warmonger.
Turns out people knew all along:
