Glaswegian Katie McGarvey tweeted on Monday about how she couldn't decide which pro-independence political party to join.
Within minutes โ because Scottish politics is like that โ SNP first minister Nicola Sturgeon had seen her message and was personally urging McGarvey to come over to the SNP.
This is because Scottish politics is strange and very different to the rest of the UK.
McGarvey suddenly realised she was on to a winner and asked Patrick Harvie, leader of the Scottish Greens, whether he'd offer something better.
Harvie said he could whip up a cake if she wanted to join.
Nicola Sturgeon was gutted. There was no way she could compete on this one.
McGarvey was torn. The cake was swinging her towards the Scottish Greens.
She was even sent evidence of what was on offer.
But Kezia Dugdale, Scottish Labour's deputy leader, tried to muscle in with the offer of this creation.
And Blair McDougall, the man who led last year's anti-independence Better Together campaign, turned up with this unionist Black Forest gateau.
Think of it as a cake-based vow.
