David Cameron Asked For The Scottish Flag To Be Flown At Downing Street But It Fell Down

Workers struggled to hoist the flag in Westminster.

Earlier today, David Cameron said the Saltire, the flag of Scotland, would fly above Downing Street until the day of the Scottish independence referendum. But the symbolic pro-union gesture didn't quite go to plan.

The moment was captured by Sky News, and you can watch the clip in full here, including when the workers eventually got the flag to the top of the pole. It's narrated by Kay Burley.
