People on benefits should be prevented from driving and cyclists shouldn't be allowed on the roads, according to a leaflet distributed by a UKIP candidate.
It was sent out by UKIP councillor Lynton Yates, who is standing as a parliamentary candidate for the party in the Charnwood constituency in Leicestershire.
The leaflet, posted by the Mum Juice blog on Facebook, asks "why do [benefit claimants] have the privilege to spend the tax payers hard earned money on a car" and suggests they just "catch a bus".
It also says that cyclists should "go back to the pavements".
The leaflet has been sent out over the past week throughout the Charnwood area, according to other local residents.

A UKIP spokesman disowned the statements, and told BuzzFeed News: "These are not UKIP policies and they will not form part of the UKIP manifesto."
Yates did not return repeated requests for comment, but has told The Mirror:
"I'm sure people will say 'what if they've got a job interview'. Well I'm sure if you had nothing to do you could leave a bit earlier and get a bus."
