Woman Loses Sight In One Eye After Cat Licks Her

Janese Walters is the victim of a rare disease known as "cat scratch," which is passed on by cats through a bacteria in their saliva and fur.

After waking up one day having lost the sight in her left eye, Walters puzzled doctors for a month, struggling to diagnose her. When she brought up the fact she had a pet cat, doctors finally thought of the solution.

Walters is looking on the bright side of her misfortune, hoping her story will act as a reminder for people to always wash their hands after patting their dog or cat.
