Celebrities have come to totally rely on the Notes app apology.

Rather than getting their publicist to handle the PR or spin the story, celebrities post an apology or statement via a Notes app screenshot. It seems like they want us to believe they whipped out their iPhone to write a personal and heartfelt message ~just for us.~

Celebs have pulled out Notes to apologize for anything from licking donuts to working with accused sexual predators.

And while it's not our place to decide whether these celebrities were genuine or not, we can always weigh in with an opinion...right?
