映画の撮影のため滞在していたオーストラリアで新型コロナウイルス感染が明らかになったトム・ハンクス。同じく陽性が確認された妻のリタ・ウィルソンと共に一時は入院していましたが、現在はすでに退院。
超有名俳優の感染とあって世界中でニュースになりましたが、入院中にはトム自らTwitterで元気な姿を発信していました。

ベジマイトはイースト菌抽出物や塩を原料に作った発酵食品。独特の匂いと味でマズイという声もあるものの、オーストラリアでは人気で一般的な食べ物。日本でいう納豆のようなものかな？
