    月が太陽の前に重なることで起きる「皆既日食」が8月21日（日本時間の22日）、アメリカで観測されました。

    アメリカ本土を横断したのは99年ぶりともあり、多くの人が空を見上げました。Twitter上には宇宙から見た「皆既日食」がアップされ、話題を呼んでいます。

    日本の気象衛星ひまわり8号も、2016年3月9日にインドネシアで観測された皆既日食の様子を抑えています。地球の上を移動する月の影がくっきり。
