LeBron James was trying to stop a ball at Thursday night's game in Cleveland when he toppled onto Ellie Day, the wife of Australian pro golfer Jason Day. James fell on top of her so hard that she had to be taken from the game on a stretcher.
Ellie Day was sitting courtside next to her husband at the Quicken Loans Arena, where the Cleveland Cavaliers were playing the Oklahoma City Thunder. James pushed the ball back toward the court before he fell into her and knocked her to the ground.
Video from the game showed James checking on her after the fall, and he later tweeted an apology.
ESPN reporter Brian Windhorst tweeted that Jason Day left with Ellie, who was on a stretcher but was talking. She was taken to a nearby hospital.
The golfer and his wife live in Columbus and reportedly attend Cavaliers games regularly.
