Baumgartner “really thought [he was] in trouble,” he told reporters. The spinning had almost knocked him out, but had he pulled his smaller chute, for stabilization, he never would have broken the sound barrier.

kristicolleen 7 months agoMinor quibble: if I recall correctly (and the video shows it as well), this would be a leg camera, and not a helmet camera. During the checklist prior to the jump, they even mention “turning on the leg cameras”.
