John Stamos Charged With Driving Under Influence Of Drugs

The former Full House star was arrested for DUI in June.

Former Full House actor John Stamos was charged Thursday with driving under the influence of drugs, stemming from his June arrest. His arraignment will be Friday in Los Angeles.

Stamos faces one misdemeanor count of driving while under the influence of drugs. The Los Angeles District Attorney's office has not said exactly what drugs Stamos had in his system at the time of his arrest. If convicted, Stamos faces a possible maximum sentence of six months in county jail.

Beverly Hills police arrested Stamos June 12 after officers received “numerous calls regarding a possible DUI driver,” authorities said.

Due to a “possible medical condition,” Stamos was transported immediately to a hospital, where investigators concluded the actor was driving under the influence and placed him under arrest. He was issued a citation and released on his own recognizance.

Stamos, who is currently staring on Fox's Grandfathered, tweeted after his arrest, thanking police and hospital staffers.

Thanks to everyone for their love & support. I'm home & well. Very appreciative of the BHPD & Cedars for their care.

Stamos's representative declined to comment to BuzzFeed News.
