Which party fought for desegregation and civil rights? Now, who was the party of the Sen. from WV, who was the grand dragon of the KKK? George Wallace, former gov. of Alabama, who stood on the school house steps to block desegregation belonged to which party? Why is this once respected figure of the civil rights movement trying to undo all the good that has been done over the last fifty years? Is he senile or has he seen the writing on the wall and figures he give anything a shot?

merryl 8 months agoFrom Mr. Lewis’ remarks to the DNC, I got that he does not want us to forget from whence our voting rights came to us, minorities & women! The struggles were long, hard, dangerous, violent & for some like Medgar Evers & 3 young ladies, and a couple of Jewish boys from NY, these civil rights struggles will never be forgotten. He is reinforcing what we need to remember about our vote, as the GOP tries to realign, litigate, and legislate our voting rights away! Get a clue!
