As far as I can tell, the only way to make them stop is to get them shut down, which will take a lot of people filing complaints and alerting the AG in their state. I'm on the DNC list; I've tried to speak to someone there to have my number removed. But still the calls keep coming.

I've been getting them for a couple of months now, I thought it was because i got a new phone recently and whoever had it before me had a legitimate warranty that needed replacement. No matter how many times I tell them I DON'T OWN A CAR they keep calling. thanks for the heads up!

God I hate these calls. Especially because I haven't owned a car in years.

add your cell phone to the do not call registry (link #5). i added it about 6 months ago and haven't gotten a “warranty” call since.
