Politics Buzz An image that looks to be the results of Sarah Palin's 1981 SAT test (along with some of her high school grades) is floating around the web. We can't be sure if it's real, but it's real embarrassing if so. 425 verbal? Ouch.

I took the SAT in 1981 and my score was not rounded, 1334, if I remember correctly. I also took the GRE in 1990 and that score was rounded to 2200, I believe. The alleged cultural bias of SATs is FOR white folks and AGAINST people of color. Last time I checked, Palin is white. That said, this is of dubious veracity and should probably be considered entertainment. It certainly isn't news that Governor Palin isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.
All she has to do is sign the permission form to release her reccords herself. Then all will know whether this is a forgery or not. And why hasn't she released her medical records either?

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_was_sarah_palin%27s_SAT_score You're not going to be able to find that information available to the general public, but you will be able to tell, from looking at her school, what type of score, generally, she received. Because it is unlikely that she would have chosen a school with worse SAT score averages than she received, it's fair to assume that her SAT is within the average range for the first school she chose. Palin went to five universities in six years to get a four year degree. Her first college, Hawaii Pacific University, has average SAT scores which show their average student is less intelligent than the average person.
While the average score is 500 on each of the two SAT categories, verbal and math, HPU's average scores are:
Average SAT scores: V 487 M 488 (Source: http://www.collegeprofiles.com/hawaiipacific.htm) Then, for reasons which are not disclosed, she withdrew and enrolled in a series of schools over six years before finally graduating from University of Idaho with a Bachelors of Science. The average SAT scores from U of I are: University of Idaho 549 Verbal
559 Math
23 ACT
Is this a fake and do you care? http://dawneden.blogspot.com/2008/10/nutroots-use-my-sat-scoresheet-to-forge.html
Frank, although I'm pretty sure you are the same person as Mike Doodikoff, I will respond. My brothers took the SAT the same year as Palin and they have confirmed that their scores were in multiples of 10. And, a few people on this very board have confirmed this as well. Can we just stick to the facts and not get childish. We don't need to fake anything about Palin to know she's not very bright.
Back in the day, when Sarah was in high school, the SAT scores were NOT rounded to 0. Kevin savage is a forgery.
SATs were rounded to the nearest 10 when I took them in 1979. You'd think any decent forger would know that. The other documents that were included with this SAT score are more obviously fake, some nerds believe. http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0883611.html I still think she's a moron, but this appears to be 'shopped.

Many colleges are de-emphasizing SAT scores as they are racially and culturally biased. In other words they are IRRELEVANT. Suportt Publikk Skuls!
Please people. I think Palin is a dork, and should be run off the national stage for good (forever in fact!) but this is going too far! Does anyone REALLY believe these could possibly be real? Obviously someone is messing with you people.
I took the SAT four years before Palin did (in '77), and my scores ended in 0's. Most of the report form looks the same as my SAT report with two exceptions: the text of the box over the test date reads “Date of Report” on mine instead of “Report Date” and there's a lot more space between the box where Part Time Hrs are indicated and the box with the Achievement Test Codes on my report.
I took the SAT's in the late 60's and the scores did not end in '0' at that time. I remember it clearly, as I scored 799 in math (damn that 1 point!)
The change to multiples of 10 happened before '81.
To contradict myself It may well be legit—the achievement bit is what we now call the subject tests and given this was pre-recentered scores the range isn't that far off. And SAT scores did adjust to every 10 points, but that may well have been before that adjustment.
It's probably the Stanford Achievement Test, not the Scholastic Aptitude Test (now SAT) used for college admissions. If it were the SAT entrance exam with a 425, I believe the percentiles would be even lower. However a 38 and 39 percentile with 31 and 36 amongst college bound isn't very comforting. Also check out her self-reported grades. LOL. I doubt Wasilla was terribly rigorous. All that said, comparing Bush and Bradley scores to modern day scores would be rather unfair. That far back there was a significant cultural bias in SAT scores with east coast upbringing. So a kid from a small town in Missouri would be inherently disadvantaged. Bush is an odder case with a fairly smart father who still mangled language in hysterical ways may well account for the same phenomenon. And, of course, the SAT today is taken by a far broader audience.

Palin's Scores compared to the national average were far below in math, what is most disturbing are her grades in Foreign Language - D and Social Studies C. This link has the link to the NSA.GOV national SAT score averages.
