iPhone 3.0
Apple's big announcements today: The next version of the iPhone's software will have (gasp!) copy & paste (swoon!) multi-media messaging. I'm sure there were some technical breakthroughs in there somewhere, but it's somehow hard to be excited that the iPhone has only just now caught up with every other cellphone out there when it comes to picture messages. Exciting stuff!

A host of new apps are coming out, including: - Hobo-X, when activated, emits a high pitch frequency intended to deter vagrants and transients - BetterThanU scrambles the calls of inferior phones within a 25 foot radius, giving iPhone users priority in public settings - iChew uses additional hardware and touch pad instructions (open - close) to chew your food for you. The plug-in chewing dock is USB compatible and can fit in your pocket.

It took waaaaaay too long to finally get Multimedia messaging. Every phone has had this capability since 2002. I was tired of having one of the most expensive phones available without this completely simple feature. Apple needs to step up their game a little bit.
