Earlier this week, thousands of police officers from across Canada gathered to attend the funeral for Fabrice Gevaudan, Douglas Larche and Dave Ross. Ross, Gevaydan, and Larche were gunned down by alleged shooter Justin Bourque in Moncton, New Brunswick last week.
Ross’ K9 partner Danny was part of the funeral procession, walking with an officer holding Ross’ hat.
Ross’ widow Rachael was presented with her husband’s stetson.
Ross’ family remembered the 32-year-old police officer as a devoted husband, attentive father, known for his close relationship with his K-9 partner Danny.
Bourque, the alleged shooter, was arrested unarmedFriday, concluding a multiple-day manhunt. Bourque reportedly emerged from a patch of woods and said, “I’m done.” Bourque has been charged with first-degree murder.
