Scott Brown To Elizabeth Warren: "I’m Not A Student In Your Classroom"
The Massachusetts Senate debate gets contentious.
LOWELL, Mass. — Senator Scott Brown told Elizabeth Warren that “I’m not a student in your classroom” during an often-testy debate on Monday at the University of Massachusetts in Lowell.
Warren and Brown were at one point talking at the same time, to which Brown cut in: “Excuse me,” he said. “I’m not a student in your classroom.”
Moderator David Gregory had earlier asked Brown about his habit of referring to Warren as “Professor.” He said that he didn’t mean to needle her: “She earned the title,” he said.

Amy B. 8 months agoIts the same reason he calls her Professor. Such a blatant condescending “I’m a real common man in a truck; she’s not like you and I” attack. I really don’t understand how that works. Since when is being well educated a negative?? I WANT my leaders to be smarter than me and comprehend policies in a way that I don’t.

bruuno 8 months agoDavid Gregory seems like a nice guy but he is simply terrible at being a moderator. He let Brown bully him and made no attempt at controlling the situation. He wound up looking like a sexist pig himself though I think this was due to his ineptness and not because he is one.
As for Brown you could tell he was waiting to use that line and when he did he was shocked he got booed instead of cheered. A total fail at a ‘zinger’. Wonder if Romney was paying attention. -
